A Laser Turret is an interactive laser tag arena device that anyone can use! It's used as a coin operated game but instead of shooting pixels on a screen, your targets are the players in our laser tag arena! The laser turret is equipped with a camera for sighting your targets in the arena and 360 degree motion so that you can lay down a full field of fire! Players gain points by tagging as many laser tag players as possible before time runs out. Laser tag players can also tag the Laser Turret in the arena when it's active. The Laser Turret does NOT affect the laser tag player's score, though they WILL know they have been tagged by the Turret!
Just ONE more reason why Lazer Gate is the ONLY place for family fun on the SouthCoast!
NexusPRO laser tag system allows us to introduce random power ups into our laser tag games. The power ups listed here are not necessarily in effect in each game with power ups activated. Check with your game marshal to deterime which, if any are in effect.
Power ups available:
Shields- When shields are active it will take 3 tags to deactivate the player instead of one. As the pack gets tagged the LEDs will dim as the shields are worn away.
Stealth- turns all vest LEDs off
Invulnerability- This prevents the player from being tagged for a period of time. After 5 tags the vest LEDs will shut off, but the player will still be unable to be tagged for the duration of the power up
Rapid Fire- Player can fire continuously without having to release the trigger.
Relay Bouncer- When a player tags another player the shot will "bounce" off the tagged player. Any other players in line of sight of the tagged player will also be tagged. The player with the Relay Bouncer bonus will get points for all players tagged in this way.
Retaliation- When a player with relatiation is tagged the that player's phasor will fire a shot before the deactivation takes effect. This is done without the player having to pull the trigger.
With the NexusPRO system, Lazer Gate staff can equalize the playing field during laser tag games. Now more advanced players can share the field with newer players without having an imbalanced game. When activated the NexusPRO handicapping system adds either a bonus to a player falling behind, or a "penalty" on a player getting too far ahead. These features are not used in every game and are used at the discretion of the game marshal. Please check with the game marshal to determine which, if any, handicap features are active.
Here is a list of the handicapping features:
Auto- Deactivate Time- increases or descreases the player's deactivation time
Auto-Fire rate - automatically increases or decreases the player's firing rate
Auto-Tagging- makes it either harder or easier for a player to tag another player by increasing or decreasing the amount of the InfraRed beam
Shield's Ability- Adds the shields bonus to the player
Retaliation- Adds the retaliation bonus to the player
Penetrator Disability- Allows the player to still be tagged even if they are deactivated, this allows each hit to reset the deactivation time.
Lazer Gate's new laser tag system, NexusPRO, allows us to bring our guests the greatest level of interactive entertainment available today!! Players get to choose one of up to EIGHT teams. Not only will they be playing against other players, but the laser tag arena itself can now "return fire" through interactive device boxes called "Mines" at different locations throughout the arena. Below you will see examples of our new laser tag vests, lighter and more responsive than our previous system.
Also members have access to our new Members Terminal which includes access to past game history, top scores, top accuracy and many more stats! Members can also change their alias right at the Members Terminal.
There are also new features such as handicapping and bonus features.
